A 20 litre pack built for the walk in, the drive out, and the overnight that turns into something longer. 600D recycled ripstop polyester, cut close to the back so the load sits still while you move.
Most day packs this size are built around organisation and comfort. So is this one. Then it keeps going, because three of the features on this pack exist for the day something goes wrong.
A rescue whistle in the hip belt buckle. Moulded into the buckle itself, not clipped to a strap or buried in a pocket you would have to stop and dig through. It sits at your waist, reachable without breaking stride, and it carries a great deal further than a voice.
A high-visibility rain cover, stowed in the base. Over the pack in seconds. It keeps your gear dry, and it makes you the easiest thing to see on the track when the light drops or the weather closes in.
A hip belt that comes off and works on its own. Unclip it completely and wear it as a hiking belt with its own storage, so you can leave the pack at camp and still carry your phone, keys and a snack.
