Night Out Safety

What these do is give someone a practical option when they want one: a way to check a drink they are unsure about, a way to cover a drink they are carrying, and a way to get attention fast. Some people want that and there is no good reason they should not have it.

THE SAFE NIGHT OUT KIT

The SURVIVAL Safe Night Out KIT puts it together in one clutch-sized case. It carries a pouch of drink spike test strips and an emergency whistle, alongside blister patches, adhesive dressings, stain remover wipes, double-sided clothing tape, safety pins, refresh wipes and a splinter probe.

The case is black pebble-grain vegan leather with rose gold YKK zips. At 19 x 9.5 cm and 158 grams it fits a clutch or a jacket pocket, and it does not look like a first aid kit. Every item sits behind a labelled loop, and it arrives in a black velvet drawstring bag.

TEST STRIPS

The Drink Spike Test Strips come in a pack of five and are used to test a drink for common substances. They are also the refill for the Safe Night Out KIT.

They are a check, not a guarantee. No test strip detects everything, and a negative result does not make a drink safe. If something feels wrong, that instinct is better evidence than any strip.

THE NIGHTCAP SCRUNCHIE

The NightCap is a drink cover built into a scrunchie. It sits on the wrist like any other hair tie, and pulls out to cover the top of a glass with a small opening for a straw.

The design is the point: it is not obviously a safety product, so using it does not announce anything to a room.

IF SOMETHING HAPPENS

If you or someone with you starts feeling suddenly and unusually unwell, tell staff or security, stay with people you trust, and get medical help. Symptoms can come on fast and can look like being far more drunk than the amount consumed would explain.

Do not leave someone in that state alone, and do not let them leave with someone you do not know. If they are difficult to rouse, call 000.
