Insulated and filtered water bottles for Australian conditions
Water is the one thing you cannot skip. On a hot day in this country you can go through several litres without noticing, and how you carry it matters more than most people plan for.
Insulated or filtered? What is the difference
They solve different problems. A vacuum insulated bottle keeps what you put in it at the temperature you put it in at, which is what you want for a day walk, the car, the office or the worksite. A water filter bottle lets you drink from a creek, a tank or a tap you do not trust, which is what you want when you are away from a reliable supply or when the water at your campsite is an unknown.
Plenty of people end up owning both. The insulated bottle is the everyday one. The filter bottle lives in the pack or the four wheel drive for the trips where you cannot be sure.
Why a ceramic lining
Stainless bottles have a habit of holding onto whatever you last put in them, so today's water tastes faintly of yesterday's coffee. A ceramic lining is non-reactive. It does not absorb flavour and it does not give any back, which means one bottle can do coffee in the morning and water in the afternoon without you noticing.
What we make
The SURVIVAL Trek Bottle is 600ml, double-wall vacuum insulated and ceramic lined, with a one-handed push-button lid, in Apricot or Charcoal. The SURVIVAL Water Filter Bottle uses six-stage filtration for untreated water, and replacement filters are available in our Water Filtration range.
