The empty bags are the same cases as the stocked KITs, with the colour-coded and clearly labelled pockets intact. Red for trauma, blue for hygiene, black for utilities, green for information. That system is the reason a SURVIVAL KIT works under pressure, and you get it whether or not we filled it.

Empty bags are available for the Family, Vehicle and Handy KITs. Fill them from First Aid Supplies.

REPLACING A BAG, NOT A KIT

A KIT that has lived in a ute for six years may have perfectly good contents and a bag that has had enough.

Buying the empty case and moving the contents across is cheaper than replacing the lot, and you keep the restocking you have already done.

EVACUATION

CARRYING MEDICATION

Some things have to travel with the person rather than the KIT.

Three things. Can you see what is inside without emptying it. Will it survive where you keep it. And can someone who has never opened it find the right item in a hurry.
