SURVIVAL TRAIL FIRST AID KIT
The best first aid kit on a run is the one you actually carry. The SURVIVAL Trail First Aid KIT weighs around 250 grams and measures 14.5 x 11.5 x 3.8 cm, so it fits in a running belt, a hydration vest or a jacket pocket and comes along every time.
It is less than half the weight of our Hiking KIT, with what you are most likely to need out there, from a Sunday stroll to a 100 km ultra.
What it helps with
- Blisters, cuts and grazes. Adhesive dressings in two sizes, wound closure strips and a skin cleaning wipe.
- Bleeding and wound care. Sterile gauze swabs and a non-adherent wound dressing.
- Sprains and strains. A SMART Bandage™, with a pictogram that shows when the tension is right.
- Cold, shock and exposure. An emergency blanket.
- Calling for help. An emergency whistle on the zip pull, for when you are hurt or lost and need to be found.
Two nitrile gloves and a pair of bandage shears round it out.
Everything has a place
Every item sits in a colour-coded, labelled pocket: red for trauma, blue for hygiene, black for utilities, green for information. Gen 8 adds pictograms. A white icon shows what an item is and a yellow icon shows what it is for, so anyone can use the KIT with no training and no reading required. That includes a child, someone who doesn't speak English, or anyone panicking in the moment.
Scan the QR code inside for the free iFirstaid app: step-by-step first aid that works offline.
Make it yours
Take out what you don't need to go even lighter, or add your own items, like blister tape or personal medication. It also covers the first aid items on many race mandatory gear lists. Always check your event's list before race day.
Available in 11 colours: Red, Coyote Tan, Red Earth, Orange, Hot Pink, Light Lavender, Primal Green, Soft Grass, Green Glow, Tranquil Blue and Classic Navy.
SURVIVAL recommends proper first aid training alongside any KIT. In an emergency, call 000.
