SURVIVAL INSECT BITE KIT
Bites, stings, ticks and splinters are the everyday fine print of being outside. The SURVIVAL Insect Bite KIT puts the right tools for them in one small, labelled wallet that clips onto a backpack or lives in a glovebox, a beach bag or a kitchen drawer.
At 13 x 8 cm and 2 cm thick, it is small enough to take everywhere, which is the point. The KIT you have with you is the one that helps.
The right tool for the small stuff
- A tick. A tick removal spoon.
- A stinger or a splinter. Eyebrow-style tweezers and two individually wrapped sterile splinter probes.
- Something you can't quite see. A magnifying glass for close work, and a mirror for the spots you can't see yourself, like the back of your neck.
- Cleaning up. Skin cleaning wipes with cetrimide, and two nitrile gloves.
- Covering it. Adhesive dressings in two sizes.
Everything has a place
Everything inside is colour-coded and labelled. Red for trauma, blue for hygiene, black for utilities, green for information. The splinter probes sit in their own flap, and a Personal pocket takes anything of your own you like to carry.
Scan the QR code on the front for the free iFirstaid app: first aid at your fingertips.
Made to carry a heat it™
The lanyard on the KIT is there for the heat it™ Insect Bite Healer, an optional extra sold separately. It is a pocket-sized device that plugs into your phone and uses a few seconds of concentrated heat on mosquito, bee and wasp bites, with no creams or batteries. Attach it to the lanyard and the two go everywhere together.
Clip it on and go
The outer is 600D Oxford polyester with a hook-and-loop closure. The carabiner clips it onto a backpack, a handbag or a bigger first aid KIT, so it comes along without taking up room.
Available in Red, Black, Hot Pink, Purple and Mint Green.
SURVIVAL recommends proper first aid training alongside any KIT. If someone has a known allergy to bites or stings, follow their action plan, and call 000 in an emergency.
