    Keeping our people safe on the farm

    While hoping that we don't ever have to use it, we love the compactness of the Hiking First aid Bundle, the smaller size allows us to carry it around our farm on the ATV, giving us peace of mind knowing we have portable first aid on hand. We regularly see snakes whilst out working and having the kit close by gives us a chance of survival, should the worse happen.

    all the basics

    After consecutive small injuries when out in the Bush I decided to get this kit. Thankfully I haven't had to use the snake kit yet but you get alot in the first aid kits for your basic needs

    GOOD QUALITY, COMPREHENSIVE KIT

    I am generally very happy with this bundle but I can see room for improvement. I bought it primarily for the snake bite kit which is almost a compulsory carry where I live in Central Vic. The snake bite kit is very comprehensive and the quality is apparent however I would say at 555 grams it is a bit bulky and heavy for bushwalking. It covers not only bites from snakes but bites from Sydney Funnel Web spider and Blue Ring Octopus. Consequently there are some inclusions that are of no use to me and obviously add to the bulk and weight. Nitrile gloves are included and I am not sure I would be wasting precious time putting those on for a snake bite. Similarly, the splint is a nice idea however a splint is easy to improvise and again I am not sure it needs to be included given how much it adds to the bulk of the kit. I would also like to see a simple belt loop on the pouch rather than the molle webbing which I am not a fan of. This one will probably live in the vehicle due to its size and weight which is a bit disappointing given that the snake bite kit that is not on your person is generally the one you will need. To be fair, the product is well described on the website so I understood what was included and the weight however, it is not until you receive it that your get an understanding of the bulk and lack of belt loop. Consequently it is hard for me to pare it down and discard the unnecessary items as I wanted a kit I could easily attach to a belt. The Hiking First…
